A rating system created by FIBS, which associates backgammon players with a number, illustrating the past games’ performance. Each backgammon player starts with 1500 rating points; the number increases or decreases according to whether you win or lose; while the size of change is influenced by the odds. Meaning, if the favorite wins there is less change and if the underdog wins there is a greater change. The majority of backgammon servers use similar systems.
